John Forish is a seasoned graphic artist, illustrator, and tabletop game designer with a passion for storytelling through art and games. A graduate of Paier College, John earned a degree in Art with a focus on Illustration, honing the skills that would shape a diverse creative career.
He began his professional journey crafting advertisements, catalogs, brochures, and tradeshow graphics for various telecom companies, while simultaneously pursuing freelance art for third-party tabletop games and Dungeons & Dragons supplements, including work for Living Imagination of New England.
John was also part of the inventive game studio Game Hermits, helping develop original games—some of which were later sold to other companies and continue to exist today.
After years as a professional graphic artist, John transitioned into teaching, inspiring the next generation as a high school graphics and art instructor, while continuing freelance projects and creative ventures on the side.
With 4ish Creations Studio, John has returned to his personal projects, creating games, art, and design from the ground up. His latest work includes Mallory Thorn's Guide to Potion Craft, a tabletop RPG supplement fully compatible with Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and similar systems. The book provides a complete alchemy, herbalism, and poison system, designed to integrate seamlessly into any campaign, giving players and GMs new ways to explore magical experimentation and adventure.
John’s work continues to bridge the worlds of visual art, game design, and storytelling, inviting players and readers alike into vibrant, imaginative worlds.
